Though not terribly prepossessing from the outside, the Alexander Thompson Hotel is an efficient budget property. It's ideal for those who want to be centrally located but to spend as little money as possible. It offers good service from staff and clean, basic rooms with minimal facilities.

The hotel boasts an ideal central location in Glasgow, right next to the Central Station and the boutique shops of Buchanan Street and Princes Square and the bars and clubs of the trendy Merchant City. The airport is about 20 minutes’ drive away on the M8 motorway. Please be aware this is a budget hotel suitable only for those looking for the most basic accommodation - please read reviews.
