The hotel is located at the top of Buchanan Street, one of Europe’s premier shopping streets, right next to the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. Glasgow International Airport is about 15 minutes away by taxi.

Buchanan Hotel Description

Established in 1840, the Buchanan Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Glasgow. Not terribly prepossessing from the outside and with a basic interior, its location is none the less unbeatable. It houses 60 guestrooms, traditionally appointed with oak furniture and dark blue carpets. All are maintained in only fair condition, as are the bathrooms. Guests can start the day with a nourishing full Scottish breakfast in the Buchanan Tearooms Restaurant, which features banquettes, patterned table cloths and light wood fittings. It also serves European cuisine for lunch and dinner. There is also a contemporary cocktail bar offering snacks and a wide range of drinks.
